Question

Good Morning! We have an integrated Diplomat ADP8332 dishwasher and there is very little water going into it. It is about four years old and has been working perfectly until now; there are no error codes shown and it is heating up no problem. The problem appears to be with water supply but that is switched on and apparently uninterrupted until it enters the appliance.

Before I get someone in to pull it out and have a good look are you able to assist with a diagnosis, please?

Many thanks,
Graham

Info Request

Hiya,

What actually happens once it's filled?

How much water is there when you open the door?

Thanks

Hi,
There is clearly little cleaning taking place as the dishes remain dirty. There is a small amount of water in the bottom of the appliance but no more than a 2mm or so in depth. I almost wonder whether it is a redistribution of water from the bottom of the appliance (filter area).
Am just on way out for a few things so will communicate more later.
Thanks for your assistance so far.

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

When it should be washing do you hear the water being pumped around?

Thanks

No - it sounds quite different and am fairly certain there is nothing much coming from the spray heads.

Info Request

Hiya,

OK, once the initial drain pump has run and the machine has filled.

Apart from heating the water, what happens?

Does the circulation pump run?

If you add a jug of water, does the appliance work properly then?

Thanks

Yes - I think so. If it sounds like a low pulsing motor then definitely yes. Forgive me but don't know much about the internals.
Thanks,
Graham

Accepted Answer

Hiya,

OK, thanks for that.

The circulation pump isn't a low pulsing sound normally, this sounds more like a faulty circulation pump.

The water level in your machine will be correct as the time fill is worked out by the onboard computer as it takes in the first 2 litres.

The Askol circulation pump fitted to your appliance suffers from cracked magnets which causes it to pulse rather than run smoothly.

The cure is a new circulation motor.

Hope this is of some help.

Let me know how it goes or if you need more help.

Thanks
