Question

Is there a "home-remedy" to cure conjuntivitis (sp?) in kittens. Zoom, the kitten, has thick green mucus forming in his eyes constantly.

Good morning. If the conjunctivitis is moderate to severe, the standard home remedy will likely not cure conjunctivitis. If it is mild the home remedy I would have you do is to pick up a bottle of eye rinse (not the stuff for cleaning contacts as this has cleaners in it), just plain eye rinse, and rinse the eyes out three to four times daily after you wipe the eyes gently with a warmed washcloth. If this is going to work, you should see improvement in 3-5 days, if it gets worse or stays the same, and antibiotic for eyes such as Terramycin will be needed.
