Question

I have a hoover 600MD washing machine that intermitantly fails to agitate (on main wash and rinse) When it fails to agitate the two outputs of the motor controller are both at 230V (they normally alternate when agitating). Should I replace the motor controller, or is it more likly that the timer is sending it the wrong signal? (mechanical timer) Thank you
