Hi there.
Are you asking a about a kitten or a rabbit?
How old is it?
Thanks,
Terri
Oh dear, I am not a racoon expert. I will opt out and refer this to the proper person.
Good luck,
This site has the info you need on worming
http://www.geocities.com/RainForest/Vines/4892/raccoonroundworm.html
You do need to worm him as this species carries a roundworm that can really impact humans.
Fenbendazole is Pancur by prescription but an over the counter version called Safe Guard can be purchased.
For this wild baby you need to do more than worming. If you are keeping a captive raccoon it needs shots for dog distemper, rabies, feline distemper etc.
In most areas is its not legal to keep baby wild animals. A wildlife rehabilitator license is required. You can seek out a wild life rehabilitator here
http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.htm
who will be able to do the correct care and get the baby the veterinary care needed as well as a good diet etc.
Hope this helps you!
