Question

have an oil furnace that kicks out on stack control .Flue is clear damper is located upstream of control. does stack control wear outby kicking out at lower temp? any ideas unit stays running after 3 times

with the cover off you will see at the bottom are vertical rows of contacts all stacked in rows. At the center front bottom is the lever. You gently pull out on the lever until all contacts have activated forward. Then you slowly release the lever back in and it puts the steps back in proper sequence.

dont recall seeing a lever contacts are in upper right corner of control.unit is not close will have to check next trip how do contacts operate

Also pull pull the limit sampling tube, if you havent already and make sure it is clean and not deteriorated.The stack control is between the furnace and barometric damper isn't it?

yesit is located before damper damper may be problematic.will replace if it affects stack control.
