Question

Hi I have an Elite 50 ( old faithful reliable boiler ) and the mechanical Horstmann 424 Emerald p.o. programmers pump breaker has worn. So the pump is running 24.7. I'd like a replacement programmer which will do the same job and would be grateful if you can recommend one. My existing wiring configuration are as follows: 1) Mains supply to programmer = Live/Neutral/Grnd 2) Pump to Programmer = Live/Neutral/Grnd 3) Boiler controller/Regulator = ( 4 core ) Live (Br)/Neutral(BL)/Grnd (Gr) + RED wire ( which goes to the terminal named Solenoid ). Can you recommend a programmer for this and advice which of the wires above connect to which terminal of the new programmer. Will really appreciate it if you can help. Thanks/ Mike

Hi, I am looking for a programmer/timer that will replace my existing mechanical one.

(Horstmann 424) as detailed above, it controls the pump,( pump should continue after for about 10 mins or so after the system switches off., The programmer also controls the boiler ( wired to controller/regulator assembly with thermostat honeywell v5335A) this is the one with 4 wires going to the programmer. I believe my Elite 50 is a gravity system, the heated water goes via a manual lever 3-port valve that channels to hot water (cylinder) and rads. If I can upload photos to make it easier , but there is no facility here.

I read somewhere online ( old posting in a forum ) that someone has managed to replace the programmer with a Danfoss TS715. But they did not post details of wiring.,
