Question

I have a 2001 Porsche Carrera 4 which the radio no longer powers up. (Bad job jumping the battery this winter.) Is it reasonable to try to pull the radio myself to take it to be repaired without going through my local Por$che dealer? Where can I get removal instructions?

Answer

Be sure to check power behind the Radio, prior to repair.

You will need the Reoval Tools. Usually available at Foriegn Parts Stores or some AutoZones.

Thank you so far.

Do you mean "check the power behind the radio" as an additional analysis or potential failure point prior to messing with the radio, or is that something I need to due if I pull the radio and reinstall?

I only ask because I do not see it as a step in the .pdf file you sent.

Regards,

RUSS

The reason I wanted you to check power at the radio is to verify the radio is bad.
Many times radios are sent for repair when it is just a fuse.

The reason no mention of wires is I don't have that info here.
Radio should have a diagram on the chassis that will give that info
