Hello,

Total no of cards in a deck = 52

No of cards for one face card = 4
total no of face cards =(K+Q+J) = 4+4+4 = 12

Total no of spades in deck = 13

Total no of face cards which are spade = 3(3 of them will be spade and face cards)

Total no of cards which are either Face cards or spade = 12+13-3 = 22

Probability of selecting a spade or a face card = 22/52 = 0.4231

Correct answer is option 2.

Please let me know if yo have any questions.

Thanks
Aman
