Answer

Welcome to just answer. It could be a short in the dash panel their is a board circuit behind the cluster. But diagnoses on this must be done a little bit further to really know for sure about the circuit board tha control all of those gages. There are a whole bunch of recalls on this instrument panel. So if you have not done that yet call a bmw service dept. right away. If you need anything else just let me know. If you accept this please hit the green payment tab. Bonuses are always apppreciated. Thank you.

It just means that the circuit board has a short in it. just like anything else onse it has a short it may come back on and then go back off again. Some one will have to pull the cluster and check the circuit board. The good thing is that everything is workingoutside of that.

thank u any idea of what price range something like this would cost to fix

Accepted Answer

Depends on what it is labor time a couple of hours. Plus the repair or replace. Sometimes they need to send the cluster out takes a few days usually around 150. or more depending. If they can fix it. But there are a bunch of recalls on here maybe theey wont have a charge. Ok But definately if they don't do it for free ask for a discount. Ok
