Question

Hi folks - thanks for your help - name is Tom - am in Miami Florida and have a 7550 - and has run perfectly every year I pull it out (6years old - about 150 hours on unit) has topped off fresh oil and fresh gas - added fresh gas today as I run it dry to store it - and pulled the recoil - started first pull as always - amazing generator - today - I pulled it out and did the above and it ran about 5-10 seconds smooth as a whistle - then shut itself off like it is choking itself out - restarted every time I tried today - first pull - repeats the above - am not hooking any power drain to it - the idle swith does not seem to effect the shut off time (5-10 seconds like a clock whether the idle down switch is engaged or not ) - it is on a level concrete surface and I am wondering if the oil pressure cut off switch has gone bad?? or it is really not getting oil?? - any thoughts - cannot thank you enough!!! - want to get it running before good ole hurricane season gets going!! -
