Question

I applied Behr Wet look searler to my stamped concrete. I followed the directions, surface was dry for 24 hours, I did not apply it in the sun. It said it would go on milky and dry clear. Unfortunately, 2 hours after application, we had an unpredicted rain shower. Now the milky look has stayed. How can I remove this?

Thank you for using Just Answer!

You only have a couple options to remove this milky white appearance that has occurred from the moisture.

If the affected areas are somewhat isolated then you can use denatured alcohol.

The only other option is to start the project over. The product that is on there now will have to be removed, surface prepped and then the Behr Wet Look reapplied. Behr makes a Concrete & Masonry Paint Stripper (product 992) that can be used.

You should test this in an inconspicuous area first because you have a stamped driveway with color in the concrete. There is the possibility that the stripper could affect the finish of the stamped concrete.

Feel free to post any follow-up questions you may have.
