Question

I just got a cat "dumped" on me - it was left in a local park where I was volunteering. Young cat - probably less than a year. So I took it in (like my other cats). Very friendly. I am suspicious she is pregnant. I had planned on getting her vaccines and disease tests ASAP as well as spayed. But assuming she has had no vaccines, can I get the rabies etc. if she is in fact pregnant? If not will I have to keep her isolated from my other cats until after birth?n

Deae friend,

May God bless you for taking her in!!

No, they will not vaccinate a pregnant cat BUT she can be tested for FELV/FIV and even xrayed.

I would take her to a vet and get those tests done.

I hope all will be well.

Warmest best wishes,

Terri
