Hello,
You say you have 2 stroke motor, but are loosing oil. I am confused if you are meaning you are loosing the 2 stroke oil from the resevoir or if (more likely) you have 4 strokes and are consuming oil.
Can you please clarify the question a little?
Thanks
sorry the motors are 4 stroke and not 2 stroke as i indicated
Hello again,
Makes more sense.
Are they both motors loosing the same amounts or you only having a problem with one?
What type of hours do they have before and after repairs?
Ok, it sounds like either you have not cured the original problem or the rings are cracked from the new work allowing the oil to get past them and get burned up and shot out exhaust.
If you are seeing oil at the exhaust it means it is getting there from the valve seats, a head gasket leak, or past the rings. It could also be possible the head is warped and caused gasket to fail after short period of time getting worse with time.
The mechanic should perform a cylinder leakdown test to verify where the leak is. He should have a leakdown test manifold and gauges. Most likely the head will need to come back off to be checked thoroughly for issues.
