I have a 2006 johnson 150 2 stroke model J 150pxsdd outboard. Motor was purchased new in the crate in january 2008. The engine was installed on a 22' boston whaler,with new factory wiring harness,guages,and controls.The boat restoration was completed in dec.2008. It has been in the water 6 times and has 28 hrs on the hobbs.The problem I have is the ''no oil'' warning light and alarm randomly activate at idle or 1200 rpm trolling speed,which shuts the engine down to S.L.O.W. mode (so u cant bring rpms up 2 shut the alarm off). So far Ive taken it to two different johnson service centers & neither 1 has found or duplicated the problem.The problem occured at my place in mexico &i drug the stupid thing 800 miles home 4 help which aint happening here in albuquerque.I need help

It sounds like you have a defective VRO pump, It should still be under warranty. That is the only thing on that motor that will trigger the no oil warning.
