I am trying to replace an ex forestry galvanized steel dropside tray and timber deck ( approx 2m x 1800 ) on a Defender crewcab/ 130... WITH a white painted shorter tray ( approx 1750 x 1800 ) and dropsides. I live in Central Coast NSW and TipTop can do in alloy, but not able to be painted.

Optional Information

2006 Land Rover defender 130 5 cylinder dies

Already Tried:
My existing tray cant be shortened apparently as it is galvanized steel and cannot be painted. I can have an alloy one from Tiptop trailers on the central coast but they dont recommend painting the alloy. I want the tray to look like it is part of the rig and not a tag on.

Existing size approx 2m x 1800 wide x 250 deep
preferred size approx 1750 x 1800 wide x 350/300 deep and finished in same white as the vehicle.

Cheers

Answer

Hi there, Speak to a guy who trades under the name of "Advanced Spray Painting", he is located in the industrial area, just off show ground road, down the road from Gosford high school -His name is Steve and his address is; 18 Enterprise close,West Gosford, PH:43256557. He wont be able to paint galvanising but may be able to help you with the aluminum side of things, he is a perfectionist and specialises in 2-pac enamel, he sprays every thing and anything, you name it he can put paint on it.
He sprays cars, boats, kitchens etc. and is very good, as i said , he wont be able to paint on galvanising but the aluminium he may be able to help you out with.
He may wish to see what you want sprayed in order to assess the preparation required, and if it can be painted and quote from there.
He is a perfectionist, and will do a very high quality of work.
Best Wishes; Matthew (aka; matt0302)
