Question

Hello,
I have a mobile home with a Nordyne E@EH-020HA furnace with a heat pump.

Looks like a bad design as the condensation overflow ran directly in the power box and thus frying al the heating elements on the left side.

My problem is, since everything is crispy and broke loose, I am trying to do a work around to get the air conditioner back up and running. I have a black wire with a stripe on it at the 24 volt thermostat and it had a pig tail on it but I have no where to put it since it burned off.

There are 2 more wires intact on the elements not sure what they do. One is white and one is blue and they are on the same side but different element or seq. not sure.

The air was working last nite, but We noticed the heat was on without the blower running and when I looked inside I noticed the water was shorting it out.

How can I get the air back up and running until I can get a replacement?

Or is there a wiring diagram that shows where all coloed wires goes?

Thanks
Dan

Sounds like the transformer is fried. Can you tell if the unit has 120v to the transformer and 24 v leaving?

Here is a link where you can find manuals of the Nordyne furnaces.

Just trak down your unit and find the wiring diagram.

Hello,
No I think the transformer is ok.

When I turn the termostat on to cool the blower runs. However the air/heat pump will not.

Are there any wires on the sequencer that goes to the cooling part?

It was working just fine until the water shorted it out.

I noticed the heat element was heating up even when the air was running. It even run after the air was shut off. They are toast for sure. I have just a few wires left and I am sure a circuit connection is missing, maybe a black striped wire from transformer. It had a pigtail on it, not sure where it goes. This may be the missing link.

Thanks
Dan

I could not find it listed.

The one I have is not readable due to burn damage.

If you have a direct link for this model that would be helpful.

Is there anyway I can upload a photo of what I have?

Also you mentioned 24 volts, which legs do I test for that?

I have several, including the previous wires I mentioned.

There will be 2 wires bringing in 120 on one side and 2 leaving with 24.

Depends what rans former you have if some of the wires are tied together. Let look for your schematic.

I appreciate your time with my question. I do like open source forums, however I did have to end up getting a repairman here.

Thanks
