Question

I have a j29819589 Trane HVAC unit that will not spin up the blower. I verified the unit gets power.. Did notice the mat in the bottom of the unit is moist. The blower spins free to the touch.

Answer

Hi

Take the voltage most likley 380 volts and the mf should be around 500
Or just take the hole thing to the grainger store

This capacitor (if working right) stores energy.... What precautions should it take when handling this item. I know an automobile unit will put you on the floor. Tongue out

Ok, will do. Is there a way to bypass inline devices such as relays and such to ensure the motor is not the issue? The motor spins freely so I do not think a bearing is bad.

Answer

Hello

I would start with the start cap if it's humming this is the most likley cause
