Question
I have front-loading washing machine that has been making a loud noise while spinning; the drum didn't appear to be spinning properly. It was as though it was overloaded and off balance. I Had a technicial look at it and he replaced a shock ($50.00 service call and an additional $150 for parts and service). I used the machine for a couple of washes after the repair; it seemed to be OK but was making a high-pitched sound as it was spinning. By the third wash after the repair, it started to make a very loud knocking sound during the spin cycle. Should I continue to have it repaired or should I consider it a lost cause and replace it? It is only six years old.
