Question

My budgie seems to have a bit of a cold - she has a "sweaty" head but is all ruffled and puffed up trying to keep warm. Her eyes look sleepy. She has also started to lick everything in the cage (including every individual cage wire!) and keeps rubbing her beak against all the perches which I have never seen her do in the 3 years that I have had her. She is also moulting at the moment. She is drinking water but isn't eating as much as she usually does. Her poo's are a bit runny. I have kept her cage covered and set up a portable heater near by to keep her warm. Sometimes she will perk up for an hour or so and it seems as if she is back to normal but then she goes quiet and puffed up again. Do you have any idea what is wrong with her or what I need to do? I have put some tonic in her water in hope that thi shelps in some way.
