Question

Can't get past this error:Windows has encountered a problem with a device connected to your computer.



This error can be caused by unplugging a removable device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-Rom drive that is failing. Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.

If you continue to receive this error message, contact the harddware manufacturer.

Hi Bob,

Try Starting your computer by using the Last Known Good Configuration feature
1. Start your computer, keep tapping the F8 key., When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.

Also see if you can start to safe mode
Start computer , keep tapping F8, Select Safe mode, Start safe mode, Restart
