pls help. i get this red itchy circular rash on my upper arm, elbow, buttocks, chest, back, thigh around THE SAME TIME (approx 14days before my cycle) and ON THE SAME EXACT SPOTS. I've been to numerous specialists but they can't help me. Could this be autoimmune progesterone dermatitis? pls recommend a doctor. I live in dallas, tx but i'll go see a doctor in any state. prednisone decreases the duration

There is scarce literature available on the internet regarding the cyclical progression of a rash such as in your case. However, it is known that certain diseases are exacerbated due to the menstrual cycle including acne, herpes simplex, and autoimmune conditions. Further, women are more susceptible than men to certain allergens, such as nickel. Female-specific allergens include seminal fluid, estrogen, and progesterone, which may cause allergic dermatitis.
