what is the value of my old parker bros. shotgun.

Here is a link to a page where you can compare photos of guns that might look like or be others just like yours. This site offers other links to places where you can get the gun apraised properly. If you don't want to check out this site, I did some research myself and saw some very old (1920's) Parker Bros shotguns selling for about $1,000.00 in very poor condition, with pieces missing and other damage to the gun. i have done some more research, and found that my gun was made in 1882 or 1883. my gun is in great condition. pretty engravings, all parts intact, and in full functioning condition.

it has been in my family for 5 generations.

can you elaborate on the value further.

I was able to locate a page displaying a Grade D 10 ga. dbl. barrel currently priced at: $3,500.00. Here is the info.

Hammerless boxlock action. 30" barrels choked & full. Factory engraved action w/ setters pointing on side fences & retriever in marsh on bottom plate. Semi pistol grip stock w/ finely done checkering on circasian walnut. Gold initial plate on stock. #3 frame. Serial # 59326, manufactured 1883. Barrels marked on top rib "Parker Bros. Makers Meriden CT U.S.A. Damascus Steel". From the Stanley Definthal Collection. Fine old Waterfowler in Antique fine condition.
