I would like you to do a test and I need to know if the van will start right know if you tried it
I am going to try to remember what test I wanted you to do, I forgot. I will get back to you as soon as I remember, thanks!
That computer is your transmission controller, don't replace it. Does the van start now?
This is going to make it hard for me to help you with this when it is not near you. Can you get the van somehow?
When the van dies can I get you to pull the throttle position sensor wire off and check the Violet/White wire for voltage with the key on. Then check the Dark Green/Orange wire at the ignition coil while cranking it over and let me know. Make sure to pull the connector off.
This is going to be caused by something on the engine heating up and quits working and the only things that can cause this are #1-crank sensor, #2cam sensor, #3ignition coil
This could also be caused by the engine controller heating up with operation and becoming faulty when it gets to a certain temp, but i don't think this is the cause. If you don't have spark it will be 1 of 3 things I mentioned. It can't be wiring or it will do it cold also. This has nothing to do with the engine controller knowing the temperature of the engine. A part is failing due to heat from the engine!
