Answer

Lets start with this.

Right click on your desktop and choose Personalize. Select Windows Color and Appearance.

From there you can select a different color theme. By clicking "Show color Mixer" you can play around with the hue, saturation, and brightness. Does this solve your problem?

Is there a way I can get back to the previous colors without messin around with the hue, etc.

Info Request

Lets try this.

Please click start and type system restore. Select the link that appears.

Select choose a different restore point. Use the calendar and select a date before the color changed. Then choose next. When the computer reboots. The colors should be the way you had them. Let me know if this does not work.

Also, do you just want the colors that vista originally uses?

Thanks.

Answer

Ok. Do this.

Right click on your desktop and choose Personalize. Choose Windows Color and Appearance. The selectable square on the left is the Default option as shown in this picture. Try this. This is the default color scheme that vista starts with.

Answer

Sorry. Just answer doesn't allow me to contact in any other way than this. Are you sure you have Windows Vista and Not XP.

We can get to it another way.

1. Click start.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click "Appearance and Personalization"
4. Choose Personalization
5. Choose "Windows Color and Appearance"

6. On the left. Select default. This will take care of the color. Good luck.
