I'm not sure who gave you the clutch replacement information, but the clutch only needs to be replaced when it no longer holds engine torque and starts slipping. I work on 3 '06 and 1 '07 Maserati, all with Cambiocorsa (F1) gearboxes, and not one has needed a clutch yet, even the one with just over 18k miles on it.
They are astonishingly reliable cars, when you consider they're an Italian exotic. Only one instance in the past 2 years, in my experience, of an odd repair. The '06 GranSport coupe I work on has a leaking oil pressure sending unit. Other than that, all routine. Expect to spend about $300-$400 on a 10,000km oil change interval, and about $1500 on the 30,000km service. Also, they eat tires like they're Pez candies, so expect to spend a good $2k about every 8,000 miles on tires. Other than that, fanstastic cars.
