1999 BMW 323I CONVERTIBLE TOP. TOP RAISES UNTIL THE LAST SEGMENT WHERE THE WINDSCREEN COWL PANEL LOCK MOTOR STARTS TO PULL THE LAST PART OF THE TOP DOWN TO THE TOP OF THE WINDSHIELD AND THEN STOPS BEFORE THE TOP IS COMPLETELY CLOSED. THE LIGHT ON THE CONVERTIBLE TOP BUTTON STARTS TO FLASH. THERE IS A CODE 3 STORED IN THE CONVERTIBLE TOP MODULE (CODE 3 IS - CONVERTIBLE TOP POSITION NOT PLAUSIBLE). ANY IDEAS ON WHAT MAY BE THE PROBLEM?

Hello,

Does the motor on the cowl panel begin pulling the top down toward the windshield and then stop mid way or does the cowl motor not turn at all?
