Question

How can i use my hibachi on a rolling stand or table so I don't have to lift it and then squat in the driveway to use it? (Hard on the back) Can I cover my butcherblock table with a fire proof mat? Weber produces a rolling bbq stand but it is only for their specific bbq product.

Answer

Hi Marcia ..
If you are looking for something to put under your BBQ .. try a stove shop .. or in a building materials store, they have a cement board used as a backer for tile .. that would work just as well to protect your table

Hi Rich,

The backer board solution would be heavy, bulky and crumbly. Do you know if the bbq mats would be effective? They are designed to protect decks.

Accepted Answer

Hi yes that would work nicely for you ... you might even be able to double it up as it will be right under the BBQ .. with the backer board I was thinking a more permanent use rather that a temporary thing .. (just like a guy ! )
