Question

For some reason, my car began doing the following:
1) Having very little acceleration;
2) Shutting down every 1/4-1/2 mile, and the steering wheel locked up and my brakes did not act either.
3) when I get to about 2000 RPMs and then let off the gas it immediately shuts down.

When my car does shut down I turn the key in the off position and then start it back up and go another 1/4-1/2 mile.

Not going to be an easy fix for this today. Check the big black hose coming from the air filter housing going up to the engine. be sure all of the clamps around that are tight and ther arent any air leaks getting in. Sounds to me your Mass Air Flow sensor is having ish! make sure it is plugged in . That is the sensor near the air filter. or on top of the air fliter box.check the air filter be sure it is not completely clogged.
