I have a 1997 Pontiac GTP. The alarm will not stop and I can't start the car. Is there any way to totally diable it? Thanks

yes it's the factory alarm as far as I know.

Is the horn honking and the lights flashing or is the security light just on and the vehicle is not starting?

Okay. One last question. What happens if you press the unlock button on your key fob? what happens when you turn the key on in the ignition?

Everything sets off the alarms. If I open the door, use the key fob or, put key in ignition. Nothing will shut it off except to close all the doors and walk away.

Okay. You need to start by making sure that the vehicles battery has good power. If the battery is getting low then this can happen. If the battery is fine then you have a problem with the security system. THis would typically require replacement of the vehicles body control module.
