I disconnected the printer then removed it from my pc I then
inserted the cd rom and reconnected as a new printer
the fault remains the same

Hi,
Please switch off the printer then uninstall the printer software,restart the pc and reinstall the software once again during the installation process it will ask you to connect the printer then connect the printer.
