Question

We have a 2004 Polaris 110 jet ski. When you pull the throttle cable, the cable moves, but no gas is getting to engine. We checked the throttle cable line in the box under the storage compartment & you can see it moving. Could it possibly be a fuse?? When you start it, it will only idle.
Thank you for your consideration.

HI Sherry,
This is an unusual question. That unfortunately prompts more questions. I have a few for you.
First, I don't think it is a blown fuse. Logic dictates a blown fuse would prevent it from injecting fuel at idle as well as above idle. Either the injectors are getting electricity or they are not. They will not function without electricity, and there would not be a separate fuse for above idle control. One fuse would handle it all.
Now, my next question is, can you see the throttle body under the air box?

Here is a link you can copy and paste to see a diagram of the intake and throttle body. My question is, can you see the pulley for the throttle cable moving with the throttle trigger at the throttle body?

The symptoms you describe would normally be associated with a broken throttle cable. I just don't know what you saw when you were looking under the front storage compartment.
Thanks

The throttle cable runs to a box behind the handle bars located under the front storage compartment. We opened the box & when you pull the throttle lever, you can see the cable moving. It is wound around a spindle inside the box, and it does move in and out when you pull the throttle lever.

Does the "box behind the handlebars" look like #7 in the diagram I sent you? If not, you need to find #7 on your boat, and see if the pulley for the throttle cable is moving. The parts diagram is vague, and I don't recall any kind of box between the throttle trigger and the throttle body, but that doesn't matter. It still sounds like the butterfly for your throttle body is not opening, so if there is a cable between that box and the throttle body that is broken, that would explain why it will start and idle but not rev up.
Thanks

Okay, will check that. We just looked at the other box. We were following the throttle cable to there and not any further. Thank you so much for your help.
