Question

Jeffery,
I also have a 1994 saab 9000 alarm issue similar to the one which you responded to on July 10, 2008. I lost my keys which had the remote lock key fob on them. I had an extra key but not an extra remote lock transmitter. I locked the car before with the remote key fob. Now the alarm goes off and I can not start it with the key. I tried putting it in transport mode per your July 2008 response and that did not reset the alarm. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Answer

Need to open the drivers door with the key this should disable the alarm

That does not work.

It seems that the car has two alarm systems, one that is turned on and off with the key and one that is turned on and off with the remote on the key fob. I locked the car with the key fob and then lost the key fob. The door unlocks and the alarm goes off and the car will not start.

Thanks,

Devin
