Let's try this from the beginning. kenmore washer, 80 series, that's all I can give at the moment as I'm not where the machine is. Basically, the machine fills up on the rinse cycle, small load as I don't want to be emptying out the water so often. It fills to the level and stops. Try changing different settings to see if anything works. nada. I unplugged the cord and left it out for 12 minutes to see if the memory might reset as I did try changing the settins so much. That's about all the info I can provide now. Any help you can provide or I will need to call sears. thanks

Answer

The problem can be a few things a bad water level switch,a loose connection at the timer ot the timer,To check these parts you really need a volt meter,

Answer

Thank you for asking your question on JustAnswer, Myself and the other Experts are anxious to help you, it will help to have the make and model number of the appliance we are talking about and any other info that you may think is important that you did not list in your original post to us. We are working hard to make you happy...

Please send the model with a period after the first 3 digits of the model number. This is necessary for JustAnswers to think it is not a phone number and X it out...

THis may not need a pro to do this,,,depending on the exact model number it could only be a bad lid switch that is very easy to replace....This could save you over $150 in service for something that is less than $30 to replace and 15 minutes of your time...
