DOES THE VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LAMP COME ON, IF SO WHAT ARE THE CODES.?

 

WAS THE FUEL TANK FULL WHEN STORED?

 

ALSO CHECK FUEL PSI. HERE IS A PROCEDURE FOR DOING SO.......

 

Vehicle Application:	1994 Chevrolet C1500 5.7L, GAS, Vin K, Eng Cfg V8
Customer Concern:	Backfires on acceleration, no power. runs lean.
Tests/Procedures:	1. Remove the fuel filter and verify it is not plugged or restricted. 2. Connect a fuel pressure gauge where the fuel filter was installed. 3. Start the engine. Check for 10-14 PSI pressure. 3. Check for 20 PSI or more on a dead head test.
Potential Causes:	Connector Fuel Filter Ground Power Pressure Regulator
Tech Tips:	Note that this system is designed to bleed off all fuel pressure immediately when the engine is off.
