how do i set up t-bird...pop/smtp servs...ect... i tried to use the format from my existing client. i installed t bird on windows 7 RC. Richard

mail pop server did not respond...invalid username or password.....i know the pass word is right

cap locks off.....do you have TWC roadrunner and use Vista? that is my current O/S and client. I am not using Windows 7 RC with T-Bird

Ok so your not trying to setup T-bird on windows 7 that was just something you had tried because it wasn't working on Vista, correct? Yea you should have all the same server addresses as windows mail, incoming mail server is a pop3 and then the incoming and ougoing mail server address and username(account name) and password will be the same also. Also did you have secure athentication setup in windows mail?

i got it....i had wrong user name......instead of rharris006 I had my name in there
