2003 pantiac GTP leaking oil bad, sounds like lifters are not getting much oil if any. looks like oil is leaking from above the the oil filter

Ok, on your engine, the oil pressure sensor is in the housing above the oil filter is this where the oil is leaking from?

hard to tell there is oil driping off the bottom senser, but it's olny dripping. the lifters r still not getting any oil. so how long can i let the engin run with damaging it.

Running the engine with out oil will cause damage straight away.

i konw that , but how eles do you preserize the system to fined leak.. the oil pan is full with the correct amount oil. but when i start it thr lifters sound horriable . do you see my delma

Does the dash show the correct oil pressure? Does it indicate low oil pressure?

has no oil pressure gague. olny low oil light, thats how i new there was a problem

Ok, it sounds like you have 1 of 2 issues, either the oil pump or the pressure relief valve is stuck/failed, or there is a major oil leak inside the engine. I suspect the first issue.

No the engine front cover. The oil pump is under there as well.

No, the front of the engine is behind the engine belt. The cover is aluminum.
