Hello and thank you for using JustAnswer.com

How is the fusible link on the battery its self? Positive terminal of the battery there is a fusible link, see if that is blown. It will have a clear plastic cover on it, so you can visually inspect it.

Let me know what you find, Thanks Jay!

You want to check for a amperage draw. Disconnect just the negative cable on the battery. Then turn your meter to amps and setup leads for amps. Place the positive lead on the battery terminal, and the negative lead to the battery. Then tell me what your amp reading is. So you are connecting the amp meter with the negative battery terminal disconnected.

Let me know, Thanks Jay!

If your wires are getting hot, I don't know if that will help. We need to first isolate what electrical system is causing the problem.

That is why I wanted you to check the amperage draw.
