Question

Are there any lawyers who are willing to take
on Ma. DOR, Dept. of Revenue. The state government
agency in charge of Ma. child support.
I got behind on my child support and went to court
and entered into a payment agreement with my sons
mother, it was signed by the Judge , myself, his mother
and a representative of DOR. To this date not a single
payment has been late or missed, however DOR levied
my checking account, causing me inccur numerous fines
and penalties. Not to mention that I could not get a
passport to travel back home and see a dying relative.
I can't even have a bank account so I can pay my bills,
and they wrongly report this on my credit report!

As you have unfortunately found out from first-hand experience, these types of situations can indeed escalate into a true night mate. You have already been diligent in trying to work with the representatives of the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, so at this point I believe your only realistic chances for obtaining meaningful relief lie in seeking legal representation. This whole mess started as a family law matter, but now you would be best served by counsel experienced in taking on these types of administrative agencies.
Here are my best recommendations for finding such a lawyer. The most economical route would be to schedule a half-hour session with an attorney for $25 through the Massachusetts Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service. This is where I would suggest you start, and make sure to describe the nature of the matter and the specific type of lawyer you require. If this does not result in a satisfactory referral, then I would suggest turning to Martindale-Hubbell®, which is an established and trusted peer-reviewed resource used by the legal community. For your type of legal matter, I would suggest speaking to attorneys who practice Administrative Law.
