Hey Bill,

Please check the following:

• Take the power cable out from the printer and the wall jack, make sure there is no damage then plug it back in to make sure it's properly connected.
• Check the socket is switched on (doesn't apply to all Countries)
• Replace the plug's fuse with an identical rating (doesn't apply to all Countries)
• Try something else (eg lamp) in the socket to make sure the socket is working
• Check the power switch is on (if your model has one)

If the LCD screen is still blank after doing these checks then your printer may have a hardware fault. If you call the Canon helpdesk they can advise whether or not you are out of warranty. If you are they will advise how to arrange an out of warranty repair. If you need anymore help please ask, otherwise have a good night and god bless!
