Well , the answer to your question is NO, it is not advised to give take 2 SSRI s such as citalopram and prozac ( fluoxetine ) at the same time, for the reason that they are likely to develop cross tolerance that is the efficacy of both the drugs will get reduced , and in fact the other SSRIs will also become less effective ,if you you use any two SSRI s together , so only one of the two needs to be taken , and this would be sufficient to treat your depression . If you want you can add 1 low dose anti anxiety drug such as klonopin or lorazepam at night , to assist the anti depressant.
