I have a Kenmore front loading washer model # 110.45081 400 and am getting a DL F code when I try to wash a load of clothes. The machine makes several clicking sounds and then gives the fault code and the door will not lock. Is this something I can fix myself, and if so with what part?

Hello,

DL means door lock. You could have a faulty door lock that is why it is not locking. Replace the door lock assembly.

Here is the parts diagram. And it is part 7.

To replace, remove the top cover and you can access the door lock from the top and remove the screws holding the door lock.

Make sure the wires fits back to its socket.

My dryer is sitting on top of the washing machine. So by "top" you mean the entire top cover of the machine? I am assuming I will have to take the dryer off to get to this?
