I was laid-off two days ago they were asking us to sign waivers to not sue, but stated all benefits end at mid-night the next day, what legal rights do I have?

What benefits did you have?

Do you have a copy of the waiver?

 

Initially, you are still eligible for Unemployment benefits, provided your work history qualifies;

You may also be entitled to "COBRA" health insurance benefits, which under the Recovery Act means you would pay 65 % of your former premiums.

 

Generally waivers like this deal with claims of unlawful discrimination based on age sex, religion, marital status.

 

This assumes you are not a union employee.
