Info Request

Hello and welcome to justanswer.com

WHat is the model and engine size of your Mercury vehicle? Are you looking for the mass air flow sensor? Do you have a check engine light on and a code for it?

P1151

Answer

Ok that sounds right.

P1151 is for the bank 2 oxygen sensor indicating lean. This is most likely due to a vacuum leak at the ocv tube/elbow on the intake manifold.

what do i get replace ?

Answer

We keep the pcv hose and elbow in stock at my dealer if that's what it needs. Listen for a hissing noise at idle to try to pinpoint the leak. You can also spray come carb cleaner around the intake listening for a change in engine rpm. If you hear a change then you found a leak.

so Richard how much would $$$ will it be to buy these parts &are you in GR also where is the intake?

Accepted Answer

If the tube is leaking the parts will run about $40.00 at the dealer. The intake is under the engine cover. Here's a pic of the vacuum connections. Trace them back to pinpoint the leak at the elbow in the back of the engine.
