My email will not delet messages to the Delete File. In deleting an UNOPENED email it will delete to that file BUT an opened email deletes--does not go to the delete file.

You did it--Windows Mail

Answer

Click the (+) next to Local Folders so you can see all the folders. Make sure they all are empy except Inbox and your saved items. Then restart the computer and try to delete an open email from your inbox and it should go to your Trash/Deleted Items.

If you need anymore help please ask, otherwise have a good night and god bless! Smile

After seeing view and Layout, my screen looks as you said--but that is no different than before. In the LAYOUT section all of the squares are checked except FOLDERS and there is no check there

Accepted Answer

Hmmm, that is honestly very weird! I would advise to either remove Window's Mail and Download it again from online or I would advise to use another email program. If you don't feel comfortable doing either, I would advise to take the computer to a local computer repair shop or contact them at the customer service number and explain your sitution, because all of your settings are set right.

Sorry to come bearing bad news,

Travis B.

I am sorry too. I don't feel that I have received any help. Tell me where I should go--my computer is still under warranty and Gateway claims if I can get on-line they they are not responsible for any more help. I'm not denying the payment, but I don't feel all of our notes were helpful --since my files looked exactly the way yours did.

Thanks, XX-XXXX XXXXXX
