Hello there.

 

Is this a permanent malfunction?

 

Have you had any work done on the car recently?

 

What happens when you turn the key? Can you hear any noise at all?

the battery was drained the other day so i jumped started it fired right up no there is no noise dosent sound like a solenoid is pulling in no clicking noise kinda wierd litterally parked it and came back out and its like the ignition is dead head lights and dome lights all bright so not sure how depedable the auto starts on these cars are only had it 4 2 days now.. possibly ignition switch?? havent delt with the foriegn stuff much

What do you mean by "auto start"? Does the vehicle have a remote starter?

the auto start is when you turn the key to start you release and it will continue to crank untill it starts now doesnt do anything i am wondering if it could be a relay or a fuse??

nothing happens when i hold the key and i guess um yes due to the fact i've only had the car 2 days

Answer

It could be a faulty key. It could also be something simple like a fuse. Your main fuse box is located in the "roof" of your glove box. turn the 2 white 1/4 turn fasteners and it will drop down.
