Hi,
Does the stool look of normal shape and consistency?
Is she straining a lot to pass the stool?
Is the blood a fresh, red colour?
When was she last wormed?
Thanks for the extra information.
It seems that the consistency of the stool is linked with the presence of the blood. The muscles of the gut wall have to contract to push out faeces, and when the faeces is softer, it has to squeeze harder. This may be causing rupture of the small vessels in the gut wall and lead to bleeding. This in itself is not harmful, as the gut wall does turn over and repair quickly, but there is more of a risk of infection becasue faeces is passing through an area of bleeding gut.
The first thing that I would do would be to make sure that the diet is consistent and that there are not additions of rich or human food that could cause the soft stools. Feed a good quality complete food and do not vary this at all. I would also recommend worming again with a prescription wormer such as milbemax. Repeat this again in 2 weeks.
If the blood persists beyond this then it would be worth a vet check - take a stool sample with you. It may be that there is an ongoing mild bacterial inbalance that a course of antibiotics, or maybe a gut sensitivity where a food change may help. It is certainyl something that you just need to deal with step by step and not change too much at once.
I hope this helps,
