Here is my question re the Duragesic 100mcg patches. I have been using this strength for 5-6 years now for rheumatoid athritis. Over the past year, I have been connecting episodes of upper back itching and its skin feeling warm about 8 hours after a put on a new patch. Lately, my facial is chiming in now, too, and I itch around my nose esp.My face tends to get pretty red, too and my scalp itches, too. Have incidents been reported of the types of symptoms by wears of this pain patch? I have been wearing the generic patches made by Mylan and Sandoz. My patterns of itching are the same on the generics. My rheumatologist told me to try the BRAND NAME DURAGESIC patches and see if I have much less back and facial itching. Other than taking Benedryl, what else can e down to ward off this miserable reaction to the patch? Is there another type of pain patch medication that would be a relief for my R.A. pain? Do you know how to help me if I decide I can't stand this patch anymore due to itching? What new things are on the market to fight Rheumatoid? I appreciate your kind answers to this poor client who can pay $9 for this medical visit. I am newly on the SSI roles and am living on a HUGE monthy income now.
