It would be very unusual, and I mean very unusual, for a dog of this age to have hypoglycemic events causing seizures. That is almost always associated with puppies with underdeveloped livers that need to initially be fed more often.
That being said, you really need to get your dog into a veterinarian. I would strongly recommend a basic blood test (including a thyroid level) for an overall health assessment. I cannot emphasize how important this test is. Now, I am not saying just yet he needs permanent medication for seizures, but someone needs to find out what is going on in the body. That includes getting liver enzymes elevated for any evidence of liver disease.
