a police officer was stopped at a redlight, sitting on his motorcycle. Two teenagers in a red sportscar passed him doing 50 mph.Why didn't the police officer stop them?

The answer is: the police officer was at a redlight...waiting his turn. The kids were on the crossing street, with a green light, doing the speed limit.
