Question

I've got a GE dishwasher model gsd3300n00bb. Ran a load today and noticed dirty, standing water in the bottom. It drains into the disposal, so I ran the disposal until clean and ran another cycle. Still have standing water. Cleaned air gap and was going to clean the covered drain in the right rear of the washer, but can't seem to figure out how to get the cover off without also removing other spray components...Please advise, thanks very much.

have you changed your garbage disposal lately? the first thing I would do is to remove the hose from the garbage disposal and put it in a bucket, then put the dish washer in drain and see if the water comes out good into bucket. let me know if you have changed the disposal lately. thanks Bryan

Drained it about two months ago. Will drain again and see if that helps. If it doesn't, what's the process for removing components in washer? Seems the plastic filter over the drain in the back is looped under the spray bar and I just don't see any bolts for the spray bar. Short of jerking the thing off, I can't figure out how to remove it.

you really shouldnt have to remove this. can you hear a clunk noise when this gets to the drain? this would be the solenoid pulling the drain flap open you can see this part on this diagram

No, no clunk. But I can see a couple of small straws from sippy cups (I have young children) and other assorted gunk trapped under the plastic filter. The filter is anchored around the post of item 507 in the diagram you posted, so I can't remove the filter to clean out the junk underneath without figuring out how to remove 507 and above.

Answer

the spray arm should unscrew thenthe screen is snapped in around the outer edge. I believe the drain problem if you not hearing a clunk is the solenoid is bad its located on the front of the pump underneath the machine if you take the kick panel of the bottom front you will see this.
